  • • Modern Email Authentication for SMTP Mail Server: On the email tab in Company Maintenance, you can now select between two email authentication methods to use when connecting to the SMTP server:
      • Basic Email Authentication: This option works the same as earlier versions of Sage.
      • Modern Email Authentication or Open Authorization (OAuth): This new option is an open standard authorization protocol used to grant access using access tokens instead of sharing a username and password.

  Important Note: It will be necessary to obtain your OAuth client credentials from your authenticating application, such as those offered by Microsoft® and Google®.   • Affordable Care Act (ACA) Compliance: A collection of new settings, fields, and reports added in Sage 100 2016 make it easier to manage new requirements of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
