Making sure that you have the right amount of product, available at the right place, at the right time, without having too much, is an incredibly complex balancing act, especially in a rapidly growing industry like the craft beverage industry. By consolidating business processes into one, integrated database, your purchasing team will stay in sync with your production line, ensuring synchronized business processes. Raw materials in production are subtracted from your inventory in real-time, so every department always has access to accurate, up-to-the-minute inventory levels. ERP software allows your company to reduce excess, minimize stock-out and place orders more quickly, allowing you the freedom to focus on growing your business and keeping up with competitors.
ERP allows you to visualize and manage your production process with customized workflows. With the flexibility to add or subtract additional steps, you have the flexibility and control to streamline your production processes.
Create your own custom reports, or use one of the hundreds of financial, inventory, production, purchasing, sales, QC or Forecasting reports pre-built! Utilize visualized, dashboard reporting for even more decision-making power.
Craft beverage is a heavily regulated industry. Compliance and documentation can take up a great deal of your business’ time and energy, but ERP software helps to streamline your compliance and documentation processes. The TTB has cited the most common non-compliance issue for breweries as lack of and inaccuracy of proper documentation. Using ERP software, you can track and document the entire manufacturing process making consistent records easily accessible.

Mead and cider are hybrids in terms of production and tracking. Cider’s production process is similar to beer, but it’s blended like spirits, and classified by the TTB as wine. Mead on the other hand often referred to as “honey wine,” is made in a similar fashion to wine, except the main ingredient for the fermentation process is honey instead of fruit (though fruit can be added to mead, just as honey can be added to wine). Both mead and cider exist in their own distinct category of craft beverage. This means that finding flexible, adaptable business solutions is all the more important to craft mead and cider manufacturers.
