WHAT’S NEW IN SAGE 100? 2022.0

During the February 2022 partner call, Sage unveiled the upcoming release of Sage 100 2022.0. The new version is expected to arrive in the second quarter of 2022. So, what’s new in the 2022.0 release? Here’s a sneak peek:

As we look toward the coming 2022.0, the features and general enhancements are aligned to offer increased flexibility and compatibility to meet the needs of our customers. This includes:

• Production Management upgrades
• In-product homepage display and UI improvements
• Additional features driven by customer requests

How to Plan for your Sage 100 Upgrade:

After the initial release of the newest software versions, the ACC team suggests waiting a period of time to allow for the system to work its kinks out. This is your chance to let the early adopters provide their feedback and suggestions to ensure a successful upgrade.

To upgrade your current 2021 version of Sage 100 to the 2022 version, here are the approximate period of time which are recommended prior to installation of the latest upgrade:

Core financials only – GL, AP, AR, BR – 30 days after release

Distribution modules – Core + SO, IM, PO, RMA – 90 days after release

Manufacturing modules – Core + Distribution + PM or WO or MRP or IRP – 180 days after release

**If your Sage 100 software is heavily modified then the following time ranges may not apply to your business**

Luckily, Sage 100 does not require you to install older releases in order to upgrade to the latest software version. For example, if you’re upgrading from Sage 100 2018 to Sage 100 2022, you simply need to install the latest 2022 version and migrate your data.

Important Note:

Sage 100 is only sold based upon a subscription. In order to obtain the latest release of Sage, you must be current on a subscription plan. Those who are on older perpetual licenses but have let their maintenance lapse can legally only install the version that was current at the time their maintenance lapsed.
