Microsoft made an announcement earlier this year that has caused a lot of confusion in regards to Microsoft Management Reporter. I spoke to a Great Plains Dynamics customer yesterday who told me that MR is no longer supported. So, what is the truth?
I found some follow up announcements from Microsoft that will hopefully bring some clarity.
I’m quoting Pam Misialek, she is a Microsoft Dynamics GP marketing manager.
“Management Reporter for Dynamics GP will continue to be supported and ship now and in the future releases of Microsoft Dynamics GP. Large features like going fully to the cloud and other major enhancements will not be made to Management Reporter for Dynamics GP.
The Management Reporter for Dynamics GP product will not be discontinued.”

In conclusion, I believe it’s safe to say that the Management Reporter is still being supported and still the preferred financial reporting solution.
