ACC’s Microsoft™ FRx™ Training - Live Web FAQ’s
When does the class start and how long is a typical class? Live Web classes start at 9am Central time and usually last until 4:30pm Included in that time is two fifteen minute breaks and a one hour lunch break. How often are Live Web Classes offered? Microsoft FRx Live Web E1 and E2 Courses are offered approximately twice a month. Is the same material covered in the Live Web course and Traditional Classroom? Yes, the course outlines are identical for Live Web and Traditional Classroom courses. The outlines can be found on our webpage. What is the equipment setup that is required for Live Web? Our office will send you a link to connect you our Citrix server, and our live web meeting. The Citrix server has the training version of Microsoft FRx loaded and this is where you will be doing the hands on exercise for the two days. The web meeting will be the instructors PC presenting to you the course material. Ideally, the best setup is either one PC computer with two monitors or two computers, this way you can see the instructor at the same time you can practice on your training session. We have had students use just one computer and they would minimize one screen work, and then when the instructor went over the next topic they would maximize his screen. (sorry but Apple or MACs can be an issue unless you have your office IT onhand to help) How do I listen to the webinar? You would call our toll free conference number each day and a phone with a speaker or a headset would work best. Can I take the Live Web class from home? We have had many students take the class from home and they enjoyed the class with out getting interrupted by staff, and this is a great option as long as you have a DSL or a very good internet connection. We can pre test it if you would like the option. Are classroom materials sent out ahead of time? Yes, each class will be sent a Microsoft FRx training manual and other items. Each training manual is approx 3 lbs so this class is packed with material. How many students will be in the class? We will hold the class with one and up to eight students. We feel eight is the maximum number where each student can discuss their needs effectively. If you prefer a smaller class just for your company ACC will accommodate your request and schedule a class for your company. You will need three students to participate for this kind of training. Is this an interactive class? Each class is different, but the conference is wide open and we invite discussions, the more you talk the more you will get out of the course. What is the cost for the class and can more than one person sit in the class? The cost of the live web training is $995 for Essentials 1 and $995 for Essentials 2, and more than one person can sit in the class with the proper paid tuition. Note if the instructor feels that there is more participants in the class where not all of the participants are paid for the issue will be corrected with the student dropped from the meeting connection and a loss of tuition with no recourse. ACC understands the environment we all live in with today’s economy and will make discounts based on number of employees attending but we consider multiple attendees sitting in the class not paid for is stealing. What is the structure of the class? The instructor introduces each topic, reviews the objectives for the exercises and leads the participants in completing each assignment. The instructor discuses the logic for each example and ask questions and for feedback from the audience. Students are encouraged to do their own work and to ask questions. How do I leave feedback for the class? At the end of day two, students are encouraged to complete an evaluation form for the class. Students are encouraged to work on Microsoft ™FRx™ and to contact the instructor via email or phone for assistance.
